Designing clear, connected experiences for B2B brands

I’m a creative director with a digital marketing agency focused on B2B financial services. In my role, I lead the creative side of our client work, shaping brand and digital systems, collaborating with account and strategy teams, and making sure every touchpoint feels clear, consistent, and on-brand.

Clients typically come to us when their messaging is inconsistent, their creative is out of date, or their customer experience is fragmented:–gaps in collateral, disconnected campaigns, or sometimes no materials at all. The goal is simple: turn that tangle into a coherent experience that makes it easier for the right prospects to find you, trust you, and move naturally toward becoming sales-qualified leads.

Outside of client work, my photography and involvement with local arts organizations keep me close to the things that first drew me to design: light, structure, and the way a single moment of attention can reframe what you’re seeing. I’ve always been curious about how words, images, and layout can make something complicated feel simple and human. That curiosity runs through everything I do, from exhibition branding and nonprofit board work to the way I approach brand and digital systems for the clients I support.

Experience

Over more than 25 years in design and marketing, I’ve worked on both the agency and client side, leading in-house teams across graphic design, digital design, and video production, supporting national brands, and building systems that help complex businesses show up clearly and consistently. I started in print and retail advertising, then moved into financial services and alternative investment products, where I’ve spent most of my career as a creative director for sponsors, asset managers, and B2B marketing teams.

Today, at GK3 Capital, I bring that mix of brand, digital, and industry experience to clients who need more than just a new campaign–they need a more coherent way to talk about what they do.

Current Role

Creative Director – GK3 Capital

I lead the creative side of our work for financial services clients, designing and producing on-brand materials across web, email, social, video, sales enablement, and premium content. I collaborate closely with account management and strategy teams to translate complex offerings into clear structures, narratives, and visuals, and to build design systems that make it easier for clients to execute consistently over time.

Selected Previous Roles

Associate Creative Director – The Javelin Agency (AT&T Business, Irving, Texas)

Embedded with AT&T Business as part of the Multimedia Solutions team, I designed and produced customer-facing presentations and channel-specific marketing and sales collateral, and art directed photography for the annual AT&T Business Summit.

Creative Director – Provasi Capital (formerly Behringer), Addison, Texas

I directed a five-person in-house creative team responsible for brand identity, marketing collateral, and digital assets for Provasi’s financial products. I supported Marketing, Sales, Events, Human Resources, and Training with comprehensive brand design and production, and led the full rebrand from Behringer to Provasi, including identity, visual system, collateral, video, and website.

Creative Director – Behringer / Behringer Harvard, Addison, Texas

As creative lead for all marketing and sales initiatives, I developed and maintained brand standards across product lines and investor communications, and helped guide the transition from Behringer Harvard to Behringer, setting the stage for the later Provasi rebrand.

How I Work

I’m at my best when I’m working alongside marketing and sales teams, connecting strategy to execution. A lot of my day-to-day work is about translating complex financial ideas into clear structures, narratives, and visuals, and then building the systems that make it easy to stay consistent over time. A few principles that guide how I work:

Collaborative by design

I like to be in the conversation early, partnering with account, strategy, sales, and product stakeholders so the creative solutions grow out of real business needs.

Clarity before craft

I’m interested in how things work, not just how they look. The story, structure, and message need to make sense first; then the typography, color, and layout can do their best work.

Systems over one-offs

I’m drawn to building repeatable, flexible systems—brand standards, templates, content frameworks—so teams aren’t reinventing the wheel every time they need a new presentation, landing page, or piece of collateral.

Personal Creative Practice

My photography is the place where I slow down and pay attention. I’m drawn to environments and structures that suggest passing time—left-behind promises, quiet corners of cities, buildings that carry traces of their history. In Local Light / Distant Light, I collect those moments from close to home and farther away: scenes held together by light, structure, and stillness more than by geography.

That same curiosity carries into my work with local arts organizations—supporting exhibitions, branding, and programming as a board member and volunteer. It’s a useful counterbalance to agency life: staying close to working artists, real audiences, and the role culture plays in a community. All of it feeds back into how I think about storytelling, stewardship, and the experiences I design for clients.

You can see more of this side of me in the Local Light / Distant Light photography section of my portfolio.

Let’s Connect

I’m not actively looking for a new full-time role or building a traditional client roster, but I am open to the right kinds of collaborations, especially where thoughtful, on-brand design and digital production can support a team’s growth. If you’re exploring a project, role, or partnership where a B2B-focused creative director could add value, I’d be glad to talk.
